Effective date: October 25, 2026. This policy explains what the SAVON app and the savon.cloud website do with your information. It was written for SAVON specifically — not adapted from another product — because SAVON's architecture is unusual: the app has no accounts and no cloud backend for your medical data.
The short version
- SAVON stores your medicines, schedules, dose history and prescription photos on your phone only.
- Your personal data is never uploaded, synced, or shared. There is no account, so there is nothing to breach on a server.
- The camera is used only when you scan a prescription, and the scan is processed on the device.
- Core reminders work fully offline. Health-condition, substitute and price lookups fetch public reference data from savon.cloud when you are online — without sending your medicine list.
- The website logs standard technical information (like any website) but no medical information.
- Deleting your data means deleting it in the app or uninstalling — it is that direct.
Information the SAVON app stores
All of the following is kept in the app's private storage on your device:
- Your medicine list — names, strengths, dose patterns, food timing, and course durations you confirmed.
- Your reminder schedules — the alarm times you set or approved.
- Your dose history — which doses you marked as taken or missed.
- Prescription photos you took — images captured with the in-app scanner, stored locally.
This information is never transmitted to us or to any third party by the app. It is used for exactly one purpose: making your alarms fire at the right times.
How the prescription scanner works (and what it never does)
When you photograph a prescription, the image and the text recognition run on the device. The extracted medicine details are shown to you for confirmation before anything is saved. The photo never leaves your phone, and there is no server-side copy of it — which also means we cannot see, restore, or recover your prescription photos, because we never had them.
Medicine information: conditions, substitutes and prices
SAVON can show which medicines are commonly used for a health condition, and cheaper brand substitutes with approximate prices in Bangladesh (shown as “Brand substitutes” and “Medicines by Health Condition” in the app). This is public reference data maintained by AmarMeds, not data about you. When you use these features, the app contacts savon.cloud over the internet to fetch the information, and may cache it on your device so it loads faster next time. Lookups are anonymous: there is no account to attach them to, your vault and dose history are not sent with the request, and we do not build a profile of what you look up. Like any web request, a lookup is recorded in standard server logs for a limited time (see “The savon.cloud website” below).
App permissions and why they exist
| Permission | Why SAVON asks for it | What it is never used for |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Only when you choose to scan a prescription | No background capture, no video, no sharing |
| Alarms & reminders | Firing full-screen medicine alarms, including over the lock screen | Nothing else — alarms exist only for your doses |
| Notifications | Showing dose reminders when full-screen alarms are not needed | No marketing or promotional notifications |
| Storage | Saving your schedules, history, and scanned photos on the device | Nothing outside the app's own folder |
| Internet | Fetching public medicine reference data (health conditions, brand substitutes, prices) and app updates | Never used to upload your medicines, dose history, or prescription photos |
SAVON does not request access to your contacts, microphone, precise location, call log, or other apps' data.
Accounts, analytics and advertising
SAVON has no sign-up, no login, and no user profile. The app is free; there is no advertising SDK and no sale of data, because there is no data collection pipeline to sell. Anonymous medicine reference lookups (conditions, substitutes, prices) are not tied to any identity and are never used for advertising or profiling. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change ships, and the app will tell you in its release notes.
The savon.cloud website
The website that distributes the APK (savon.cloud) is a normal static website. Its hosting server keeps standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and download requests — for security and troubleshooting, typically for a limited retention period. The site sets no tracking cookies and uses no analytics services. If you email us, we receive your email address and message, and we use them only to answer you.
Data retention and deletion
- Delete one item: remove a medicine or photo inside the app at any time.
- Delete everything: uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings. This erases all locally stored data permanently and immediately — there is no server copy to wait for.
- Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your request, then deleted.
Security
Because your data never leaves the device, its security is the security of your phone: keep your lock screen on, keep Android updated, and install SAVON only from this official website. A stolen unlocked phone is the realistic risk, and your device's own lock screen is the defense.
Children
SAVON is a general-audience utility. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — of any age — because it does not collect personal information at all.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be published on this page with an updated effective date, and significant changes will be announced in the app's release notes and on the What's new page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
